Stormwater Detention Ponds—Alexandria,
MN
These multi-cell ponds
in downtown Alexandria control the quality
and quantity of stormwater runoff reaching
area lakes. Designed to fit into the lake
surroundings, the ponds include natural
rock outfalls, extensive landscaping, a
walking path, and informational plaques
which describe how the ponds function and
the purposes they serve.
