The
Turtle River State Park Bridge won
Grand Prize in the Bridge category
from the North Dakota Ready Mix and
Concrete Products Association (NDRM&CPA).
Widseth Smith Nolting served as Architect,
Structural and Civil Engineer on this
project with Aggregate Industries
as the concrete sub-contractor.
Judging was based on a points system
with ten points maximum awarded in
each of the following categories:
Architectural Use of Concrete, Complexity
of Project, Unique Engineering, Finished
Appearance, Overall Use of Concrete/Products
and Innovation. Five points maximum
were awarded for Judges Perception.
The awards program is open to NDRM&CPA
members. The association’s mission
is to promote the effective use of
concrete through its staff, members
and affiliates.
