Smith Nolting projects were recently
recognized with awards for Construction
Excellence (CSAH 20), Project of the
Year (CSAH 13), and Excellence in
Concrete (Forestview
Middle School).
The
MN Department of Transportation, MN
Asphalt Pavement Association, and
the US Federal Highway Administration
recently presented their Merit Award
of Construction Excellence to the
Crow Wing County Highway Department
for the CSAH 20/Riverside Drive improvement
project. The award was presented at
the 2004 Bituminous Conference recognizing
Crow Wing County Engineer, Duane Blanck;
Contractor, Anderson Brothers Construction
Company; and Widseth Smith Nolting,
Engineers. The scope of the project
included reconstruction of the roadway
between Beaver Dam Road and Ashmun
Road in Brainerd, MN.
Minnesota
County Engineers Association (MCEA)
recently presented their Project of
the Year award to the Cass County
Highway Department for the CSAH 13
highway and bridge improvement project
located near Walker, MN. This project
included the reconstruction of six
miles of roadway and complete replacement
of the Roosevelt Canal Bridge.
The
North Dakota Ready Mix & Concrete
Products Association presented their
Excellence in Concrete award to the
Brainerd School District for the use
of precast concrete in the new 339,000
square foot Forestview
Middle School designed by WSN
in association with Rozeboom Miller.
